Mountain Man
A New Beginning
- Update from any prior version to version 1.2c
(updated April 21, 2005)

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

1.   Make sure you have installed the Mountain Man game to your hard drive. (full or minimum install)

2.   Make sure the game is not running. If it is running, exit the game.

3.   Download the following file and run it. It will update your version of Mountain Man.

4.   Once updated, you can run the game either by inserting the CD-ROM into the drive and clicking on PLAY or by clicking on the Windows START button and then selecting PROGRAM FILES --> OQUIRRH --> and then MOUNTAIN MAN

When the game starts, you will see the updated version number at the bottom of the title screen.  It should say version 1.2c. If it says any other version then the wrong version is running and you'll need to follow the steps again.

CHANGES in version 1.2c

1) The game would sometimes crash on the Zombie scene with some computer hardware configurations. A workaround has been devised and version 1.2c should not crash now.

CHANGES to prior version 1.1c

1) This version prevents you from saving your game when you're dead. We have had reports of some players accidentally saving their game after they died. This version will prevent that from happening. If you have already had this happen to you, install the update then start the game again. When you resume your game you will be taken to a death screen. Press the L key to load and resume your game.

2) For those of you who just can't seem to get through the tough scenes, here's your cheat codes! The attacking grizzly scene, the snake pit scene, the wolf pack scene and the zombie scene all have a cheat code enabled now. When things get too tough for you, just press the DELETE key on the keyboard. It will kill or delete the unwanted intruders from your presence. The only drawback... you'll be penalized for cheating and you'll lose all but one of each fur you've collected. Small price for staying alive I guess.
